BHUBANESWAR: The
Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) on Saturday issued a notification regarding return of 45 vacant medical seats under
All India Quota (AIQ) to the state quota. Provisional admission for these seats will be conducted on July 30, 31 and August 1.
The state has 1,400 medical seats. As many as 15% seats of the state medical colleges are reserved for All India-level students. After admission at the national level is over, vacant seats are returned to the state quota. After the first round of admissions, the state has 259 MBBS and BDS seats vacant across eight medical and two private colleges. The total number of vacant seats touched 304 following the addition of AIQ seats.
