N Uttam Kumar Reddy slams TRS for supporting RTI bill

TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao
HYDERABAD: The Congress on Sunday demanded TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to explain to the people of Telangana as to why the TRS supported Narendra Modi-led BJP government in Rajya Sabha to pass the RTI bill.
“The diluted RTI bill would not have been passed had TRS not supported it. What is it that the BJP government at the Centre and TRS government in Telangana want to conceal from the public that they got their act together to pass a diluted RTI bill?” asked Telangana Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Referring to TRS working president KT Rama Rao's directions to party leaders to take BJP seriously in the ensuing municipal polls, Uttam said that TRS is trying to fool the people of Telangana by projecting BJP as its rival party.
“It is with the intention of dividing the majority community vote between Congress and BJP in the municipal polls that TRS is projecting BJP as a resurgent party and a rival to the TRS,” Uttam said.
