Doctor, son die in road accident

Belagavi: A doctor and his 20-year-old son were killed on the spot and four others injured after the car in which they were travelling hit a truck parked on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway-4 on the outskirts of Hebbal village in Hukkeri taluk on Saturday.
Dr Panchakshari Kudachimath, 56, and his son Rakshit, residents of Chikkodi are the deceased.
The injured Nirmala Kudachimath, Sadanand Gadagimath, Sachin Kudachimath of Chikkodi and Ashok Kagalekar of Belagavi have been admitted to the BIMS district government hospital. They are reported to be out of danger.
The car was heading towards Chikkodi from Belagavi. According to police sources, the car hit the truck after the driver lost control over it. A case has been registered in Sankeshwar police station.
