The couple became engaged on November 30, when James popped the question at the restaurant where they'd had their first date.
The former Packed to the Rafters star had been planning the proposal for six months, he told New Idea last year.
Sarah explained: 'I didn't see it coming this soon. When the box came out I thought, "Maybe it's a birthday bracelet".
'But Jimmy was nervous, a bit sweaty, and his eyes were watery. I knew something was up! My whole face was paralysed and I was so overwhelmed. There were tears and I haven't stopped smiling since.'

In May, Sarah told The Morning Show that she and James had secured a venue.
'I think we have a wedding venue... I think we know what we'd like to do,' she said. 'We're thinking [of getting married] early next year.'
In a recent interview with Now To Love, she also confirmed that the couple had decided on a 'destination wedding'.
'We've prepped so much actually,' Sarah revealed last month. 'A venue, guest list, dress, bridal party. There's so much, I didn't realise how much there was to prep.'
