Tesla Model 3 Vs Alfa Romeo Giulia QV, Place Your Bets

If you’re in the market for a spacious, fun, and fast luxury sedan, the Tesla Model 3 Performance and Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio are two very exciting propositions. To see which is best, Love Cars pitted the two against each other for a series of tests.

The test is a new-age battle of electric power versus a more traditional sports sedan with an internal combustion engine. Both are fast, there’s absolutely no doubt about that, but which of the two is actually the most fun to drive?

Before you watch the video below to find out, it’s worth reminding you of the important figures for the two cars.

The Tesla Model 3 Performance is powered by a pair of electric motors powering all four wheels and producing the equivalent of 450 hp and 471 lb-ft (638 Nm) of torque. The immediate torque provided by the electric motors power the Tesla off the line at frightening speeds, allowing it to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.4 seconds and continue through to a top speed of 162 mph (261 km/h). Tesla also outfits each and every Model 3 Performance with 20-inch alloy wheels, Michelin tires, and enlarged brakes.

By comparison, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is powered by a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine with 503 hp. While the Alfa has the power advantage, it is real wheel drive, somewhat crippling its performance in the wet when Love Cars took the two onto a circuit.

The conclusion? Watch the video below to find out.
