Goon who fled from hospital held in Kerala

Nagpur: Sijo Chandran Nadar, 38, who fled from the Super Specialty Hospital last week, was caught in Kerala by Ajni police with the support of local cops on Thursday. Wanted in several cases in different states, Sijo had been charged under Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA).
Sources from Ajni police station said police sub-inspector Sanjay Chappe had received a call from an unidentified person from Kerala. The call had come on the Ajni police station number. PSI Chappe had then started personally communicating with the caller, who had specifically told about Sijo’s location. He was staying with his maternal aunt, and was set to leave for Delhi the following day.

Chappe, after consulting senior PI HL Urlagondawar, under supervision of Zonal DCP Raj Raushan Tilak, contacted the local police station at Kerala to seek help. Kerala police, responding to Ajni cops’ requirement, nabbed Sijo at his relative’s place and handed him over to city police.
Sijo, a resident of Delhi, was lodged in Nagpur Central Jail before he escaped. Two constables had been suspended over his escape.
