Chief Minister of Puducherry V Narayanasamy announced Friday that the territorial government would extend financial assistance to pilgrims undertaking Kailash Mansarovar yatra from here.
Narayanasamy, who returned from Delhi Thursday, told newsmen that each of the pilgrims would be provided an assistance of Rs 50,000 from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
He said the Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment (independent charge) Santosh Kumar Gangwar would lay the foundation of Rs 100-crore super specialty hospital of the Employees State Insurance (ESIC) here next month.
He said he had during his visit to Delhi, along with his cabinet colleagues and newly elected Member of Parliament from here, V Vaithilingam, held discussions with the Union Minister.
Also, the Chief Minister said the Union Minister has accepted the invitation to come to Puducherry and lay the foundation of the hospital.
