Bhopal,
Monsoon is incomplete without getting drenched in rain. Rain water brings enormous fun with a great relief from the scorching heat of summer. To make this monsoon a memorable one for the students and parents of DPS Castle of Dreams, Kolar Road, ‘Drizzle over me……….. a walk in rain’ activity along with a special assembly of class Prep A was conducted on Thursday, July 25, 2019.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp as a tribute to goddess Saraswati by the Academic coordinator Remy Behl. This was followed by a special prayer and thought for the day. The tiny tots of Class Prep A shared their opinion confidently and with élan on the various methods of conservation of water.
Edifying views on water harvesting gave the assembly an entirely different angle and made audience to ponder over the idea of rain water harvesting. Assembly concluded with the spell bound dance performance of our tiny tots. Immediately after the assembly the parents proceeded for the activity of walking in rain with their wards where they relished the bites of hot tangy corn roasted and sprinkled with spices.
It was not only a fun day of the school but as a responsible & educative part of the society a sincere step was taken on the day by organizing a tree plantation drive. The parents took part enthusiastically in the plantation drive with the believe that the best gift they can give to the next generation is natural beauty with abundance of water. Overall it was an enriching, awe-inspiring show which was highly appreciated by the spectators and the idea, ‘Save water to celebrate life’ was deep rooted through the efforts of our young students of Class Prep.
