Question marks are being raised over the working of Food Department after factories manufacturing synthetic milk were busted in Bhind and Morena. The Food Department conducts raids during festive season and catches mawa, paneer etc but the lab test report is never made public. Recently the state police have busted a racket involved in manufacturing synthetic milk and other products and distributing them to branded outlets in various states.

The Special Task Force (STF) conducted searches at factories at Ambah in Morena district and Lahar in Bhind district and seized large quantity of chemicals and preservatives. The sleuths seized around 10,000 litres of synthetic milk, over 500 kg of fake mawa and around 200 kgs of paneer during the raids.

The suspects were allegedly supplying highly lethal chemical milk and milk products like mawa and paneer to branded outlets in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana. People are making chemical-based milk and making the life of innocents in danger. After the revealing of chemical based milk in Bhind Muraina factories people are questioning food administration.

Food administration didn’t get the news of big illegal factories where chemical based milk is made. The reports of the sample were not shown to the public. They just told us when they took the samples. But we haven’t found any criminal under custody with samples. At this moment, STF did a good job in finding illegal factories where chemical based milk is made. On 19 July, STF about 16 thousand kilos synthetic milk was confiscated. We don’t know how many innocents consumed it and made their health bad.

Synthetic milk was made by mixing Singhada flour with milk base. The mawa made of rupees 50 per kg is actually sold at 300 rupees per kg. this was cleared when officers talked to the criminals. SP of STF Bhopal, Rajesh Bhaudariya used to investigate five areas near Bhind Morena. The criminals used to transfer synthetic milk and its products to Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. They have their main focus on marriages and parties.

They even have set agents in big cities. During conversation, criminals told that by the help of agents they used to sell milk and its products 5-10 rupees cheaper. And due to this owner used to take it easily. About 2 quintal of milk and its products used to be sold in marriages and parties.
