Etihad Airways adds more flight for Hajj season

There will be 15 extra flights between operational between July 28th and August 25 to transport the pilgrims to Medina.

 

 

There will be six charter flights dedicated to the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Zayed Foundation and Abu Dhabi police.

 

 

From Abu Dhabi to Jeddah and Medina the outbound flights will be operative between August 1st and 5th while the return flight were scheduled for August 16th-17th.

 

 

 

Houssam Weiss, head of UAE sales at Etihad Airways said that Etihad has been operating Hajj flights since 2007 and they remain committed to providing  additional services during this important season for the Muslim world.

 

 

Approximately 300,000 pilgrims were carried to the city of Mecca to perform Hajj. They want to help their guests to complete their once-in-a-lifetime religious journey with ease and peace of mind . Approximately 25,000 Hajj travellers are expected on their flights mainly from Australia, Pakistan, Morocco and United Kingdom, India and Indonesia who will be travelling through their Abu Dhabi hub.

 

 

Dedicated staffs have been assigned at Abu Dhabi International Airport to ensure a seamless ground experience.

 

 

To meet the pilgrims’ requirements extra provisions will be made inflight by cabin crew. Etihad Airways will permit Hajj pilgrims to carry a five-litre container of Zamzam water free of charge and will provide extra care for its handling on return flights from Saudi Arabia.
