New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday planted a sapling in Parliament as part of a tree plantation campaign launched by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The Lok Sabha Speaker launched the drive in the lawns between Parliament Library Building and TKR III in the Parliament House Estate.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Parties besides leaders of various parties in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha also planted saplings on the occasion. Congress floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal were also present on the occasion.
