Kolkata Raj Bhavan employees bid farewell to governor Tripathi

Governor Tripathi is expected to leave the city on Monday.
KOLKATA: The employees and officials of Raj Bhavan on Friday assembled at the Marble Hall to bid farewell to the outgoing governor of Bengal Keshari Nath Tripathi. It was an emotional moment for the staff who had seen the governor for the past five years and had were closely associated with him.
Governor Tripathi also expressed his mind with a heavy heart. He is expected to leave the city on Monday. As the new governor Jagdeep Dhankar's swearing-in ceremony will be held on July 30.
The officials and staff offered floral tribute to governor along with other gifts. The governor also discussed his memories in Raj Bhavan. In his speech,Tripathi said, "Employees of Raj Bhavan are the hands, ears and face of the governor. A governor can not do any thing without your active participation. And you have performed your duties and responsibilities skillfully and perfectly." Also he said, "I want to thank the people of Bengal and wish peace and prosperity prevail in the state."

Satish Chandra Tewary, additional chief secretary to the governor, said that governor Tripathi was a 'karmoyogi'. "He treated all his staff as his extended family members and had given affection to all of us," Tewary said.
DK Gautam, OSD to governor along with press secretary to the governor, Manab Bandyopadhyay, special secretary Kumarjib Chakraborty, and Sujay Sikdar, OSD to the governor were present in the function.
