Black Shark 2 Pro surfaced on the AnTuTu ahead of the July 30th launch. The variant that has been spotted on the benchmark platform packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and it also confirms the Black Shark 2 Pro would be powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC with Adreno 640 GPU. It is likely to run on Android 9.0 Pie with the customised interface on top. AnTuTu listing also reveals the flagship will have 1,080 X 2,340 pixels resolution, although the display size is unknown for now. The Black Shark 2 Pro managed to score an impressive 405,598 points, that is 30,000 points higher than the Black Shark 2 score. This can be contributed to the bump in the chipset and GPU frequency.

Furthermore, rumours suggest the Black Shark 2 Pro might pack a redesigned rear panel for comfortable holding. It remains to be seen if this Xiaomi-backed company has bumped the display panel to support higher refresh rates as it’s becoming increasingly popular among gaming phones these days. As mentioned by Black Shark, the flagship could include a 3.5mm audio jack that went missing post the brand’s original handset. Unfortunately, details regarding the battery capacity, cameras, other features are scarce at the moment. But when launched, Black Share 2 Pro will take on the mighty ASUS ROG Phone 2 that was launched earlier this week.

As for Geekbench, Black Shark 2 scored 3,632 points in the single-core test, and 11,304 points in the multi-core test. It would be the second smartphone to use the newly launched Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. The upcoming nubia Red Magic 3s will also use the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. We should know more details about the Black Shark 2 Pro when it goes official next week.
