Gurgaon: The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) on Wednesday conducted training of the
pollution checking centres in the city to register them online and keep a check on the fake certificates issued by certain centres.
The machine type and manufacturer of the machines are specified on the web portal and the centres will have to give all the details for the online registration.
“Representatives of around 30 centres across the district attended the training. They will be now given a login ID and password to upload the details of their equipment. This would help the RTA to maintain record of the pollution checking centres issuing pollution under control (PUC) certificates. Once these centres are online, the process of issuing PUC certificate will also be streamlined,” said an RTA official.
Last year, it was decided that the PUC centres will have to upload the emission details of the vehicles they check for pollution on the web portal.
