University of Cincinnati delegates visit MIT ADT University campus

PUNE: A delegation from University of Cincinnati visited MIT Art, Design and Technology University, Loni Kalbhor on Thursday. The members of delegation were Raj Mehta, vice-provost for International Affairs, University of Cincinnati, among others.


A statement issued by MIT said that, one of the objectives of the visit was to explore the possibilities of collaboration and establish strategic partnership between both universities for offering collateral academic programs for post graduate studies in Arts, Design and Technology domain. The universities have formulated a collaborative program and agreed to launch the same at the earliest.


The delegation has agreed to form the research committees on both sides to come up with concrete plan to realise the endeavour of integrated research centre in interest of life on planet.


University of Cincinnati has constituted an India strategic group to find partners in the Indian sub-continent. At the meeting senior faculty members from both sides presented their views on the core strength of their constituent units and how they could discover the possible synergies between both the universities for the mutual benefit. The initial presentation on the MIT-ADT University was made by the head of international relations Anant Chakradeo which was followed by an elaborate presentation on the University of Cincinnati by Mehta.


The meeting culminated on a positive note wherein both the sides have shown optimism to establish a long term collaborative association in the near future.
