“Nokia 8.2 mid-range phone is also reported to feature Android Q operating system, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage”
Nokia 8.2 is HMD Global’s upcoming mid-range phone. Now, MySmartPrice, in association with noted leaker Ishan Agarwal, has revealed more information about the handset. Though its a little late to the party, the Nokia 8.2 is said to be the brand’s first handset to embrace the pop-up selfie module, complete with a 32MP sensor. It is likely to run on the latest Android Q right out of the box and should be a part of the Android One program. This means the handset could be launching sometime after the stable Android Q build rolls out in August. The Nokia 8.2 packs 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage that might be further expandable.
Furthermore, earlier rumours suggested that Nokia is actively working on two 5G enabled devices, and these are expected to launch in Q3 2019. While one of them could be a flagship model, the other is touted to be a mid-ranger, presumably the Nokia 8.2. It is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 700 series chipset or the upcoming Snapdragon 735 SoC. The handset could pack at least triple camera setup at the back and a beefy battery to compliment the chipset. In terms of design, the Nokia 8.2 is likely to retain the glass back from its predecessor.
Given the Nokia 8.2 rocks a pop-up selfie, it should offer an edge-to-edge display but with a sizeable chin below the screen. Unfortunately, no other details are revealed just yet, but we are bound to come across more details in the coming few weeks. Given that Nokia hasn’t launched any premium mid-range phones in India so far in 2019, we expect the company to flood the market in the latter half of the year.
