LUCKNOW: The
UPSRTC drivers who are found under-performing consistently may lose their job. The
Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will evaluate the performance of all its drivers on fixed parameters.
The objective is to identify drivers who perform better, are healthy and responsible. Such drivers will be put on duty on sensitive and important routes to ensure safety of passengers more.
Each driver will be issued a smart ID card that will contain his service record and performance details. It will make it easier for the corporation to monitor the performance of the driver.
To ensure transparency in assigning duties to drivers, UPSRTC will implement 'Software based' duty assignment from September 1.
At first, it will be implemented as a month-long pilot project at
Charbagh and Kaiserbagh bus depots from August 1. MD, UPSRTC, Raj Shekhar, said, "After the pilot run it will be implemented all over the state."
