Vivo Z5 smartphone is expected to launch in China on July 31st. Speculations are rife that it could be the mysterious Vivo phone with model number V1921A that was certified by TENAA recently. After teasing with a couple of promotional renders showcasing the design and colours, Vivo has now released new posters on Weibo revealing key specifications of the Vivo Z5. The handset is expected to come with SUPER AMOLED display, and the teaser image highlights thumb impression, suggesting it could come with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The smartphone is expected to come with triple rear cameras and a 32MP selfie snapper on the front.
The Vivo Z5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC with support for multi-turbo mode for an enhanced gaming experience. A large 4,500mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging support fuels the phone. The triple rear camera setup consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary shooter and a 2-megapixel snapper. It is said to pack a waterdrop notch, instead of a punch-hole design. The Vivo Z5 has been tipped to measure 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and weigh 189.6 grams.
While the company hasn’t revealed the RAM and storage configuration details, TENAA listing suggests the Vivo Z5 would come with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options. The handset is likely to run on Android 9.0 Pie with FunTouch OS skin on top. Since the launch is less than a week away from now, we should know more details soon enough.
