The apex collegium comprising Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, Justice S A Bobde and Justice N V Ramana interacted with all the seven advocates and recommended the Centre appoint them as judges. The names of T Vinod Kumar, A Abhishek Reddy and K Lakshman from Telangana and the advocates R Raghunandan Rao, Battu Devanand, D Ramesh and N Jayasurya from Andhra Pradesh were cleared by the collegium.

Though these seven advocates were recommended by the common high court on October 9, 2018, they are now getting allocated to two high courts as the common high court was bifurcated from January 1, 2019. This was the last recommendation made by the Hyderabad high court and the SC collegium has accepted this recommendation in toto.
