A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the chest and abdomen in Ipswich.

Emergency services were called to Redbank about 1.30pm on Thursday to treat the man.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

A crime scene was declared and police were speaking with the victim.

Emergency services did not release any further information on where the incident occured as investigations continued.
