‘Midsomer Murders’ premieres on myNK™

Britain’s best-selling TV drama Midsomer Murders is set to make its premiere on myNK™, the entertainment VoD platform. Based on the book series Chief Inspector Barnaby by author Caroline Graham, Midsomer Murders chronicles the lives of Midsomer residents who are in the midst of sordid murder mysteries with a staggering number of 300 deaths and counting. The investigation is led by the good-hearted but rough around the edges Detective Chief Inspector Barnaby. 

Midsomer Murders aired first in the late 1990s and immediately gained popularity worldwide. The show has seen continuous success with 6 million views per episode till date, making it a ‘British telly institution’. 

Over the years, the popularity of the show roped in many ‘stars’ to be part of its episodes, from Oscar winner Olivia Colman, Hugh Bonneville aka Earl of Grantham to Sanjeev Bhaskar, the star detective from Unforgettable, Peter Capaldi and Orlando Bloom.
