A California woman who unleashed a vicious tirade on her husband and smashed a laptop over his head on an American Airlines flight has been identified by police.

Tiffany McLemore, 30, launched the merciless attack after accusing her husband of 'looking at another woman' on a plane preparing to depart from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday.

In footage filmed by fellow passengers that went viral on social media, McLemore was seen screaming at the man and calling him a 'n*****' multiple times before flight attendants intervened and asked him to move to another seat, away from her.

As he made his way down the aisle, McLemore chased him down and struck him over the head with a laptop, injuring a flight attendant and another passenger in the process.

Another flight attendant witnessing the chaos warned McLemore: 'You're going to be arrested for assault' and she snapped back: 'Fine, whatever' before collecting her belongings and storming off the plane.

Police arrived at the gate and tried to locate the enraged passenger, but their search 'yielded negative results', according to report obtained by the Miami Herald.

The husband spoke to authorities and said he did not want to press charges.

He ended up taking a later flight back to Los Angeles and his wife's whereabouts are unknown.

The flight attendant and passenger were injured when the laptop 'bounced off' the man, and they had to be treated for bumps on their heads.

Both declined to speak to investigators about the incident.

'If there's no statement, we are not able to move forward with the case,' a Miami-Dade Police Department spokesman told the Herald.

According to her Facebook page, McLemore is a manager at the International Bully Kennel Club, an organization that registers and promotes dog breeds with a reputation for being aggressive, such as pit bulls.

It appears she has been with her husband since at least 2014 and they have two young children together.

McLemore and her husband did not immediately return DailyMail.com's requests for comment.

Several passengers recorded videos of the fight as it escalated while the plane was sitting at the gate.

McLemore threatens her husband: 'You wanna f***g try to look at other women?'

She shouts at him to 'shut the f*** up' and says: 'Yeah, you better believe that I wear the f***ing nuts in public.'

A cabin crew member comes over and attempts to defuse the situation, pointing out there is a small child in the vicinity.

'Just take her off the plane,' one passenger says.

The flight attendant asks McLemore to bring her bags to the front of the plane, at which point she warns her husband that if he doesn't come with her he'll never see her again and appears to slap him, eliciting gasps from onlookers.

The flight attendants then ask the man to come to the front of the plane to get away from her - enraging McLemore even further.

She runs after him down the aisle, smashing him over the head with a Dell laptop before continuing to shove and slap him.

When warned that she will be arrested, McLemore surrenders in a huff and deplanes.

American Airlines told The Sun in a statement: 'Prior to departure from the gate on Sunday at Miami International Airport, two passengers who were traveling together were involved in a dispute.

'Law enforcement was requested, and both passengers were removed from the aircraft.

'We thank the American crew who worked quickly to diffuse the situation. Their actions resulted in a safe environment for all of our passengers.'
