Top tax payers felicitated on Income Tax Day

Rajkot: The Rajkot Income Tax department felicitated top tax payers at a function held at Hemu Gadhvi hall on the occasion of Income Tax Day on Wednesday. The officials honoured top corporate tax payers like Maulesh Ukani of Ban Labs Private Limited, Chandubhai Virani of Balaji Wafers Private Limited, Rajendra Shah of Gandhidham-based Agrocel Industries Private Limited and Viraj Vasoya of Orbit Bearings (India) Private limited.
Under the non-corporate top tax payers category, I-T department felicitated Suresh Nandwana of Bhavani Industries India LLP. The department also honoured Sanjay Patel under male individual tax payers category and Usha Patel in female tax payer category. Ila Mehta and Prabhudas Parekh were felicitated under the senior citizen category, while Arun Patel was honoured in super senior category.
However, the officials refused to divulge tax payment figures of the companies and individuals saying that only an assesse can revel those figures.
The function was presided over by chief commissioner Devashish Roy Choudhury with Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara was chief guest.
