Honda Owners Also Getting Key By Amazon Through HondaLink

After Acura RDX owners got the news yesterday, it’s now time for owners of select Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, Insight, Passport, Pilot and Odyssey versions to rejoice as their Amazon Prime membership will help them have their packages delivered directly to their vehicles.

All you need is a relatively modern Honda model that also happens to feature the compatible HondaLink Remote Package.

“The addition of Key by Amazon In-Car Delivery to our HondaLink Remote Package of in-vehicle services comes at no additional cost to subscribers, yet another way we are creating new value for Honda customers,” said American Honda Motor connected business project leader, Daniel Tiet. “This latest addition to HondaLink provides a new service, heightening the Honda owner experience in this increasingly connected world.”

Specific model versions that are available with Key by Amazon In-Car Delivery are as follows: 2018-2019 Accord Touring, 2018-2019 Accord Hybrid Touring, 2019-2020 Insight Touring, 2018-2019 Odyssey Touring and Elite, 2019 Passport Touring and Elite, 2019 Pilot Touring and Elite.

In order to get started, all you need to do is download the Key by Amazon app to your smartphone, log in using your Amazon account and then select the year, make and model of your Honda.

As for the delivery process, your car needs to be parked within two blocks of your selected delivery address. From that point on, you will receive a 4-hour delivery window and an “Arriving Now” notification when the delivery driver is approaching your vehicle.

Once the package has been placed inside (following a scan and an unlock request), the car will be re-locked and the user notified.
