IBS to felicitate botanist Prof Arya with V Puri medal

Vadodara: Professor Arun Arya, former head of department of botany of M S University has been selected for professor V Puri medal award by the Indian Botanical Society (IBS). He will be conferred the medal in the next IBS conference scheduled to be held at Calicut between November 6 and 8.
Arya, the officiating head (retired) of department of environmental studies, is a botanist, phytopathologist, philatelist and a popular science writer.
A fellow of IBS, Phytopathological Society and president of Indian Association for Air Pollution Control, Arya has also served as vice president of the International Council for Biodeterioration of Cultural Property.
