Ahmedabad: Even after police began inquiry into the Delhi-based woman’s plea alleging IAS officer Gaurav Dahiya of bigamy and breach of trust, some more complaints by women employees of National Health Mission (NHM) have popped up against the bureaucrat. Dahiya previously held the key post of mission director in NHM.
Commissioner and principal secretary, health and family welfare department in government of Gujarat, Jayanti Ravi has transferred nine to twelve complaints against Dahiya to general administration department (GAD), (Personnel) for further inquiry, senior officials in health department said.
During a press conference, Ravi, who was initially reluctant to discuss Dahiya’s issue told reporters: “We have received written complaints. As the GAD is the authority to address all such issues against the senior officers, we have transferred the complaints to the GAD. It may be at the inquiry stage so I cannot comment further. After the inquiry, only GAD will be able to take suitable action, if required.”
A senior official said that GAD officials will inquire into the case and later may initiate departmental and legal actions against the bureaucrat if they find any illegality conducted by him.
When asked about the complaints of harassment against him by women employees, Dahiya told TOI, “I am not aware of any such complaints against me.”
