Cape Town - Vincent Janssen will be looking to get his career back on track after finally leaving Tottenham to join Mexican side C.F Monterrey.
The 25-year-old Netherlands international joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in 2016 in the hope of providing strong competition for Harry Kane but failed to make an impact at White Hart Lane.
In his three years at the club, he made just 42 appearances, scoring six goals, and spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Fenerbahce before returning to Spurs.
In fairness, the striker has struggled with injury, and after again failing to get a look-in during last season, will now hope to resurrect his career with Monterrey.
Tottenham are also happy to bank £6 million for the Dutchman, who scored just two Premier League goals and free up a bit more space on the wage bill in the process.
"We have reached agreement with Mexican side C.F. Monterrey for the transfer of Vincent Janssen," the club said in a statement.
"The Netherlands international striker joined us from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016 and made 42 appearances, scoring six goals as well as spending time on loan at Fenerbahce.
"We wish Vincent all the best for the future."
