A fire at an industrial area has left several cars, trucks and a container destroyed - with residents claiming their homes were shaken by an explosion.
Emergency crews were called to the site on Mount Cotton Road and Gramzow Road in Carbrook _between Brisbane and Gold Coast - about 8pm on Wednesday. after reports of an explosion.
The blaze was fought by seven fire trucks who managed to get the fire under control and extinguished by 9.15pm.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said a 20-foot container, several trucks and small machinery were involved in the blaze.
The fire was sparked by power tools and was not being treated as suspicious, the spokeswoman added.
No one was injured and the property was left in the hands of the owner by about 10.45pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Beenleigh station officer Andy Rose told ABC Radio Brisbane cars were alight at the back of the property when crews arrived.
'Two trucks, possibly four cars, and a container were involved in fire, but crews got the fire under control pretty quickly,' he said.
'The site ... dealt with LPG cylinders and one of those cylinders exploded.'

Residents more than 10 kilometres away said they we were rocked by an explosion.
'We felt it. Shook our house. We live in Mt Cotton. Scary as. Hope whoever was involved is okay,' one person wrote on Facebook.
'Sounded like bomb! Glad everyone is ok,' another resident said.
'Bloody hell! glad no one was hurt. Heard and felt the explosion in Victoria Point. Scared the hell out of me.'
Redland Mayor Karen Williams warned locals it was 'best to avoid this area if possible and share with those who may be impacted.'
