If you're a fan of the Fast and Furious franchise, Fast 9 immediately comes to mind where the movie begins set in Cuba. What follows is an array of beautiful classic cars being showcased.
It's the one place in the world that just at a mention you picture Cuban cigars and loads of colourful, vintage cars.
About 60 000 classic cars fill the streets of Cuba, and a trip isn't complete without a ride.
Cubans have used their ingenuity to keep these decades-old cars on the streets.
Over there, it's part of daily life and the vehicles are kept in immaculate condition. It's not only a symbol of hard work, but also a source of income.
A Cuban driver can make more money in an hour, than a Cuban doctor in a month.
Any tourist to the country can tell a story of driving in a hot pink Chevy Bel Air down the Malocon or driving in a baby blue Cadillac through the city centre of Havana. In fact, once upon a time, Havana was considered as the Cadillac capital of the world.
It might be an Instagram post for a tourist, but for many Cubans, it's a way of life.
