Chennai:
Singa penney the first single from Vijay starrer Bigil was released at 10 on Tuesday night, it has been breathing fire since then.
The AR Rahman musical is fast approaching 3 million views. Whereas, the Yuvan musical Ajith starrer Nerkonda Paarvai's Thee mugam (released 3 days ago) and Kaalam ( released a week ago) fetched only 1.7 million views and 1.1 million views respectively.
The song begins with Atlee narrating the song situation and lyricist Vivek explaining the emotion that should go into the song. Rahman could be seen with his fingers ready in front of his piano. There are a few slides from the movie, where Vijay is flanked by a football and Nayanthara could be seen amongst the female team on ground. The rest is Rahman performing it on stage with his team along with Sasha Tirupati. The lyrics is floored in a classic subtitle like manner.
This Bigil song is hailed among Vijay fans and general audience as an anthem of women empowerment in the lines of earlier Vijay-ARR combos like Aalaporan Tamizhan which was viewed as Tamil anthem and Ella Pugazhum as youth anthem.
The next highly expected song among Tamil film lovers is Verithanam, sung by Vijay. This is the first time Vijay has lent his voice for an ARR song.
