An appealing mix of top sporting action and carnival fun is what makes the Travemünde Sailing Week so special.
Every year, some 3,000 sailors from nearly 25 countries compete in one of the largest sailing regattas of the world – providing an eye-catching backdrop for the accompanying music and entertainment programme.
Travemünde is a relaxed Baltic Sea resort and a port for Scandinavian ferries in Germany. Seafood restaurants dot the banks of the Trave River as well as the Strandpromenade overlooking Travemünde Beach and the Bay of Lübeck, and stalls sell fish sandwiches at the Fishermen’s harbor.
Travemünde Sailing Week commenced on July 19 and runs until July 28, 2019.
