A crash has shut the A525 in Wrexham.

Emergency services were called to the collision on the A525 near the Kingsmill pub between Marchwiel and Wrexham at around 6pm today.

Police closed off the road with officers asking all motorists to avoid the area.

Paramedics were also called to the incident.

Diversions were put in place with Wrexham CCTV tweeting: "Police are advising to avoid the area due to an Rtc. Diversions heading out of the town on the A525 will more than likely send you through Caia Park and from the Marchwiel side back towards the Industrial Estate/Cross Lanes."

It is not known if anybody has been injured.
