14 robbers, part of three Greater Noida gangs, held

Greater Noida: Three different gangs of robbers were busted and 14 men arrested from Nat Madhaiya village and Hindon bridge on Sunday night, police said.
Stolen mobile phones, credit cards, motorcycles and illegal weapons were recovered from their possession.
While Atul, Rinkoo, Honey, Prashant and Krishna belonged to one gang, Kuldeep, Robin, Sumit, Atul and Ankit were part of the second gang. The third gang included Amit, Sunil, Sangam Raj and Sonu, said SP (rural) Ranvijay Singh.
“The accused informed police that they used motorbike to target people at secluded locations and snatch valuables from them at gunpoint. We caught them after putting the looted mobile phones on electronic surveillance. As many as 20 stolen mobile phones, four bikes, six debit/credit cards, four knives and four country-made pistols were recovered from their possession,” said the SP.

According to Singh, with their arrests, police have solved 14 case of robberies, out of which eight occurred in Beta 2 while six took place in Ecotech 3 area.
“One of the cases that has been solved had taken place on Saturday in which a private company staffer was robbed at gunpoint in Beta 2. A police team then put the accused on surveillance and raided the Nat Madhaiya area and nabbed them,” said Singh, adding that with their arrest, police hopes to see a decrease in robbery cases in the area.
