Karnal: Three Class X students booked for sodomizing minor boy

KARNAL: A Class III student in Karnal was sodomized by three senior boys of his school. Family member of the child and villagers on Monday blocked the Karnal-Kaithal road and sought action against the accused. After getting the information, Karnal police reached the spot and tried to persuade the protesters to lift the blockade.
The protesters lifted the blockade around 11am after DSP Baljindra Singh assured them that strict action would be taken against the guilty. Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against three students of Class X in the same school.
The survivor’s father alleged that three accused were abusing his son in the school library, washroom and bus for the last one week. They threatened him with dire consequences if he revealed anything, he alleged. He said the child finally mustered courage and disclosed the incident to the family.
The parents alleged that a complaint had been given to police but no action was taken. On Monday, family members of the boy and some villagers went to school to the meet the management, but were not allowed to see them. Meanwhile, they blocked the Karnal-Kaithal road and sought an action against the accused.
