Pule: I don't want to put myself under pressure

2019-07-23 13:36

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates star Vincent Pule says his main aim is show improvement and consistency in 2019/20 after his form dropped off towards the end of last season.

Pule still enjoyed a successful campaign as an individual as he scored eight goals and recorded three assists in the Premiership.

The 27-year-old also walked away with the ABSA Premiership Goal of the Season for a wonder strike against Polokwane City.

Nonetheless, the attacking midfielder believes he can kick on and do better in the new campaign.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "I think this season I just have to improve, like every player wants to improve every season. I just want to be a better player and a better person.

"I think I just have to work harder than last season and everything will be great.

"I just have to improve, get better every season, and I think, for me, I don't want to put myself under pressure [with targets]. I just have to do better than last season."
