Instead of throwing the book, Municipal Judge Frank Caprio will throw the first pitch at the Red Sox-Yankees game Thursday night.

A video on the TV judge's "Caught in Providence" Facebook page shows Caprio getting the news.

He seems pleased but says he also wants to pitch the first inning. (Maybe it's not such a bad idea considering the shape of the Red Sox pitching staff this season.)
