Hiren Kumar Bose picks up three wonderful watches which has made it to the stores
BREITLING Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition
The collection celebrates 100 years of luxury motoring excellence, its partnership with Bentley Motors. Produced in 18-ct red gold and stainless-steel versions, the watch features unique brown elm burl dial with black subdials (a chronograph minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small-second subdial at 9 o’clock). The in-house mechanical move¬ment delivers an impressive power reserve of approx¬imately 70 hours. The movement is visible through a unique transparent caseback featuring a Bentley logo. The 18-ct red gold version is engraved with a “ONE OF 200” inscription, while the stainless-steel version is inscribed “ONE OF 1000”, confirmation of the edition sizes for the watches. The dial features a white tachymeter scale on a black inner bezel around the dial, with a red tachymeter in¬scription.
The Breitling Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition in 18 k red gold is presented on a brown leather strap whose pattern and stitching was inspired by the seats in a Bentley. The stainless-steel version will be available on the brown Bentley-inspired leather strap as well or on a stainless-steel bracelet. On the left-hand side of the 42-mm, stainless-steel case is a plate with an engraved “Bentley” in¬scription, whose design is based on the dashboard of the historic supercharged 1929 “Blower” Bentley. The Collection is a COSC-certified chronometer.
PANERAI Submersible Bronzo
With its solid bronze case 47mm in diameter and the iconic device for protecting the winding crown patented by Panerai in 1955, in this new version, a micro-sandblasted brown ceramic disc has been applied to the rotating ceramic bezel, which integrates perfectly with the brown of the dial and the strap made of natural leather. The patina which gradually forms on the surface of the bronze gives each example an original, dynamic appearance and it also protects it from further oxidation, without changing its properties. A professional diving watch, it is water-resistant to a depth of 300 metres (30 bar) and with all the indications clearly visible even in complete darkness. The small seconds hand at 9 o’clock indicates that the watch is running properly in all situations and the unidirectional rotating bezel enables the safe duration of each dive to be calculated. Furthermore, the new watch is supplied with a second strap in military green rubber, ideal for activities in the sea. The P.9010 Manufacture calibre, automatic with a power reserve of three days, is wound by a bidirectional oscillating weight, which can be admired through the sapphire glass porthole on the back. It displays the time and the date, and it is fitted with the mechanical device for rapidly adjusting the hour hand.

In collaboration with an external lab, the Tondo by Night timepieces are daytime beauties that also shine at night thanks to Pearly Photoluminescent Composite Fibreglass (PLF), an innovative and exclusive luminescent material and enriched with small pieces of mother-of-pearl that give a stunning finish. This iridescent luminous material on the case and buckle professionally tested to ensure total comfort, soaks up the daylight in order to lend it a glamorous glow when evening falls. The Collection includes several variations: white, yellow, pink, green, purple and orange. The black diamond on the crown, the Galuchat strap and the distinctive design of the Tondo case all stamp the collection with the hallmark of the inimitable de Grisogono style. These radiant and playful oval-shaped timepieces sparkle with a row of 48 gems on the bezel as well as 60 precious stones arranged in three rows on the oscillating weight. Interpreted in various colours depending on the model, this precious timepiece glows with white diamonds, orange, pink or yellow sapphires, green tsavorites or amethyst.
