Mangaluru-Bengaluru train services likely to resume on July 25

MANGALURU: Train services on Mangaluru-Bengaluru section that remained affected for fourth day in succession on Tuesday is likely to resume only on July 25. More than 80 labourers and five earth excavating machines are working round the clock in the on-going work to clear infringement on track between Shiribagilu-Subrahmanya Road on the Subrahmanya Road-Sakleshpur ghat section of the Mysuru division of South Western Railway (SWR).
Sources said that a huge boulder jutting at the mouth of the tunnel has been blasted and process of blasting several other such boulders in the vicinity is going on.
Accordingly, SWR has cancelled/diverted trains as below:
Train 16576 Mangaluru Junction - Yesvantpur Express and train 16515 Yesvantpur-Karwar express commencing journey on July 24 is cancelled.
Train 16586 Mangaluru Central-Yesvantpur Express journey on July 24 and train 16516 Karwar-Yesvantpur Express journey commencing on July 25 is cancelled for want of rake.
Train 16514 Karwar-KSR Bengaluru journey commencing on July 24 is partially cancelled between Karwar and Mangaluru.
Train 16513 KSR Bengaluru to Karwar Express journey commencing on July 24 is partially cancelled between Mangaluru to Karwar.
Train 16524 Karwar-KSR Bengaluru Express journey commencing on July 25 is partially cancelled between Karwar to Mangaluru.

Train 16511/16513 KSR Bengaluru to Kannur/ Karwar journey commencing on July 24 is diverted to run via Jolarpettai, Salem, Palghat, Shoranur Instead of Shravanabelagola, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subramanya Road.
Train 16512/16514 Kannur/Karwar to KSR Bengaluru Express journey commencing on July 24 is diverted to run via Shoranur, Palghat, Salem, Jolarpettai Instead of Subramanya Road, Sakleshpur, Hassan, Shravanabelagola.
