Woman cop asks about account details leak. Police reply ‘park is waterlogged’

Noida: She complained about her leaked bank account details, and was perplexed to receive a reply saying there was no need for further probe and ‘water from the sewer entered the park repeatedly’.
Nisha, a woman constable with Delhi Police, had told police that an employee of Axis Bank’s Sector 51 branch had compromised her bank statement. However, when the Sector 49 police station failed to lodge an FIR, Nisha complained on the CM’s official IGRS portal, only to receive a reply about waterlogging in a park in Hindon Vihar.
“The water from the sewer enters the park repeatedly and the gate about which the applicant has mentioned has a plot which the complainant calls a ‘lane’. The applicant has been giving complaints full of allegations and counter-allegations earlier too. The investigation does not show the need for any other further probe. The problem is concerned with the Noida Authority,” reads the response in possession with TOI.
Sector 49 SHO Ajay Aggarwal attributed the faux pas to a “cut and paste” error. On whether an FIR will be lodged, he said it can happen only after investigation.
Nisha’s headache began in March when she received a text message that Rs 236 had been deducted from her account for giving her the full bank statement. “My branch is on Delhi’s Asif Ali Road, they informed me that my statement had been compromised by the branch in Sector 51,” said the constable who hails from Hapur district.

She was informed that her statement was retrieved from the ID of bank employee Shailesh Tiwari and was given to one Sanjay Tyagi.
“There is CCTV footage that shows that a customer, Sanjay Tyagi, had taken my statement. I have received at least two calls from an unknown person threatening me that my account will be emptied. It is my salary account and I’m worried,” she said. On April 22, she called police, but they refused to lodge an FIR. The SSP’s PRO Prabhat Dixit said the bank details were compromised. An Axis Bank official said they are not authorised to comment.
