    '20 Outback upgrades interior tech

Competitors: Hyundai Santa Fe, Ford Edge, Chevrolet Blazer, Honda Passport

Strengths: Subaru kept physical knobs and controls in place while radically updating the infotainment screen design and function.

Weaknesses: The Onyx Edition XT is the most affordable way to get a turbo, but only a gray interior with green accent stitching is available.

Bottom line: Subtle changes throughout the crossover, such as a hands-free power rear gate and sound-insulating inner film for the windshield and front-door glass, seem well thought out. The redesigned Outback is still an Outback, which is a good thing.
