Court has allowed the 15 MLAs (rebel MLAs) that they may or may not be present there. They (the Karntaka govt) don't have the numbers, they're in minority.

I was forming Ahinda party. I was expelled from JD(S) in May 2005. I joined Congress in 2006. Wrong info shouldn't be recorded here.

  • Karnataka trust vote live updates | Congress leader Siddaramaiah: Speaker will take a call on confidence motion. We have already told that we will prove the confidence in Vidhana Soudha. Rebels have told that they are not living comfortably, they could have stayed back here itself.

Congress made a strong plea to the Speaker in the Karnataka Assembly earlier in the day not to put to vote the confidence motion moved by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy till the chair decides on the resignations to the House submitted by the rebel lawmakers.

The Congress' position was stated during the debate on the confidence motion by senior Minister Krishna Byre Gowda who said that taking up the voting without the Speaker's decision on the resignation issue would leave the confidence motion process without any sanctity. (PTI)

  • Karnataka trust vote live updates | Congress leader Siddaramaiah tweet: I welcome the ruling of Hon. Speaker Shri. Ramesh Kumar on my point of order. This has upheld & protected the rights of political parties to fight against undemocratic disturbance orchestrated by BJP leaders.
