Nalanda Open University (
NOU) on Sunday announced that the candidates who have cleared the common entrance test for BEd course conducted by the university can take
admission in BEd colleges across the state through state spot round. Registration-cum-online choice filing for state spot round will begin from July 23 and end on July 26. Automatic locking of registration-cum-choice filling for state spot round will also take place on July 26.
“Qualified candidates who did not take admission in any BEd college can apply for state spot round. For this, they have to pay Rs 3,000,” said a notification issued by NOU registrar and state nodal officer SP Sinha. Counselling for the selected candidates will be held between July 29 and August 1.
Meritorious students felicitated: Around 3,000 students were felicitated by Private School Children Welfare Association at the ninth Pratibha Samman Samaroh organised at S K Memorial Hall on Saturday. Anushka Dasgupta and Varman Vats of St Joseph’s Convent High School and Mariyam Raza Khan of Notre Dame Academy received citation, memento and Rs 11,000 cash prize each. Sr M Serena AC, principal of Carmel High School, was adjudged as the best principal in Patna region.
Chief guest of the event was education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma, who said students should dream high and strive hard to achieve their goal.
Building construction department minister Ashok Choudhary suggested the schoolchildren to face the worldly affairs with theoretical knowledge and practical approach.
