CM Yogi Adityanath moots inter-district police duty meet for stronger khaki bonding

LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday mooted the idea of organising duty meet of UP districts on the lines of inter-state duty meet for better coordination and camaraderie among police personnel.
Yogi made the suggestion while presiding over the closing ceremony of 62nd All India Police Duty meet at 35th PAC battalion headquarters in Mahanagar, Lucknow .
UP hosted the event after 20 years. Maharashtra Police lifted the champion’s trophy in the meet which saw the participation of police units from 22 states and seven central forces in six categories. The meet was inaugurated on July 16.

Five policemen from other states were awarded the PM’s Police Medal for saving the lives of people.
State police teams which won: Tamil Nadu emerged victorious in forensic sciences; ITBP and BSF were declared joint winners in anti-sabotage check; Kerala and UP Police were joint winners in computer awareness; Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh were joint winners in videography; Andhra Pradesh and ITBP were joint winners in photography, and Tamil Nadu and SSB were winners in dog squads.
