British woman, 19, who was 'gang raped by 12 Israeli teenagers' in Ayia Napa will take part in identity parade in attempt to pick out her attackers

The British woman allegedly gang raped in Cyprus is to take part in an identity parade in an attempt to pick out her attackers.
Police who arrested 12 Israelis teens want to see if the victim can formally recognise any of those she claimed held her down and took part in the attack at a budget hotel.
The results of the ID parade and forensic evidence will determine if any of those being held will be charged at a court hearing next week.

DNA analysis of samples taken from the hotel room in the resort of Ayia Napa are expected to have been processed by the time the suspects, aged from 15-20, appear after being held in custody for eight days.
A lawyer for one of the teens said today he was confident his client would be freed after the ID parade.
Police have recovered footage from mobile phones that allegedly shows the sex attack at the Pambos Napa Rocks hotel.
They also recovered five used condoms and 13 condom rappers from the floor of the second floor bedroom.
The 19-year-old victim has told police she consented to sex with one of the teens – but was held down and raped by others who had crowded into the small room.

A police source said: ‘ The woman who has made the claims will be asked to formally take part in an ID parade. We are investigating all aspects of the case.’
According to media in Israel three of those held at have admitted to having sex with the victim, but claim it was consensual.
The other nine are said to have admitted to being in the vicinity of the room but did not take part.
The 12 suspects are being held at different police stations on the island and have been visited by their parents who have made the one-hour flight from Israel.
At the beginning of the investigation Police seized their mobile phones.
The woman told detectives she thought the assault, which lasted over an hour and ended when she passed out, had been filmed.
In her statement she said many of those in the bedroom were drunk when she arrived.
The victim had flirted with one of her alleged attackers in the days before the attack as they exchanged messages on social media.

Friends at the hotel told Mail Online how they saw her in a distressed state with bruises on her body when she returned to her basement room at the hotel.
A medical examination showed scratches on her legs.
A police source confirmed to MailOnline that filmed footage of the attack had been found on phones taken from the suspect.
Police are also examining CCTV footage but this is thought to only show the teens entering the hotel.
There are no CCTV cameras trained on room where the alleged assault took place.
According to reports in the Israeli media the teen who had previously had consensual sex with the 19 year old and flirted with him on instagram has changed his story to police several times.
He initially told detectives he was alone in the room with the woman, but after questioning admitted others had been present.
The victim, who cannot be identified, is staying at a secret location in Cyprus with a friend and is being supported by officials from the British embassy.
