PUNE : In a bizarre incident, a tweet by a railway passenger complaining about the snoring of a fellow passenger received a funny response. Vishal Suryawanshi was travelling in the Pune-Nagpur train. He tweeted about his sleep getting disturbed due to the snoring of a fellow passenger.

When he lodged a complaint with the Western Railway’s official twitter handle, he received the automated message which directed the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) to look into the matter. The DRM in response to it replied that he had noted the complaint. 

Passengers are now using twitter to complain and are requesting railway authorities to make some rule regarding such weird incidents.

“Travelling in 12129 Pune-Nagpur B2-26. Suggestion along with age and gender pls collect information about snoring and allocate appropriately….One man snatching sleep of all.” He also tagged Railway Minister and Western Railway in his tweet.In his reply, the Western Railway said ‘Kindly look into it @drmpune.” The divisional railway manager of Pune twitter handled by officials replied ‘Noted.’ 

At times during the journey, a snorer disturbs the entire coach. 

Another passenger Virendra Verma travelling by Pune-Patna Express recently narrated his experience of how he suffered during the journey when three passengers were snoring. They were even helpless about who to complain. 

“During the journey, we were unable to sleep. As many as three passengers were snoring. Few of the other passengers tried various ways to make the snorers aware about the problem. But they failed in their attempts. Later, I used my earphones and started listening to music, which helped me to sleep,” said Verma.

”During the journey, if passenger snores and disturbs others, it is good to use headphones or earphones while sleeping. The headphones or earphones will impede the outside noise providing you an undisturbed sleep,” said Verma.
