Pune: Trio held in two separate incidents with weapons

PUNE: In two separate incidents, the Pimpri and the Sangvi police have seized fire arms and sharp weapons from the possession of three men on Saturday.
The Sangvi police have arrested Omkar Kisan Shingore, 19, of Pimple Gurav and Ganesh Hanumanta Moted, 20, of Sangvi on a tip-off. The police seized a country-made revolver, two live cartridges, and a high end motorcycle from their possession, which is a total worth of Rs 1.20 lakhs.
According to the police, the two men came to the area and they were carrying the illegal fire arms with them. The two were wanted to issue threats among the locals by flaunting the arms.

Police are investigating the source of the arms and the live cartridges purchase. A case under the provisions of the Indian Arms Act has been registered against them.
Earlier in the day, the Pimpri police arrested Gautam Shriram More, 38, of Vitthalnagar for carrying a sword with him. Police have seized the sword and registered a case against them.
