'He left her in tears': Inside Samantha Armytage's painful 'split' from boyfriend Paul O'Brien... as Sunrise host reportedly moves on with a new man

Samantha Armytage, 42, has reportedly 'moved on' from her on-again, off-again boyfriend Paul O'Brien.

And according to The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, their latest split was an emotional one. 

'He left her in tears at close friend Skye Leckie's 60th birthday party in late April,' a source told the publication.

The insider added that Sam's friends never felt Paul was a strong match, telling the newspaper: 'He wasn't good for her and all her close friends knew it.'

However, she's reportedly found love again with a new man who she allegedly met at Skye's birthday party in April, the same night she 'split' from Paul. 

Friends of the rumoured new couple are remaining tightlipped with his identity as he is 'not in the industry', but is said to be a 'much better suited bloke' for the star.

Samantha and Paul reportedly began dating in November, 2017.

The pair were first spotted publicly in March 2018 on a dog walking date in Sydney, and seen again in September while having breakfast in Melbourne. 

According to Now To Love, the couple then 'took a break' in January 2019, before briefly reconciling but they 'split' again in late April.

They were seen together at Sydney's Royal Randwick racecourse on Saturday April 13, while posing for a picture among friends.  

Multiple sources told Daily Mail Australia at the time that the pair that decided to get back together earlier in April after 'taking a break'. 

Paul was also pictured at Skye Leckie's 60th birthday party in late April, where the couple are said to have 'split' for good.

Samantha confirmed in early June that she has a boyfriend, but was not ready to give away his identity just yet.

She told The Kyle and Jackie O Show: 'I'm happy to talk about everything except the secret lover!'

The Weight Watchers spokesperson added that even her Sunrise co-host David Koch doesn't know the name of her 'mystery man'. 

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Samantha and Paul for comment.
