Fire in sales tax office, files burnt

Ghaziabad: Several files were damaged in a fire that broke out at Ghaziabad’s sales tax office early on Saturday. Flames were first noticed by a guard who was on night duty and he informed the fire department. It took around two hours to put out the blaze, officials said.
“It is very difficult to ascertain the cause of the fire, as we are still investigating. But we found that fire fighting measures were not in place at the office,” said fire officer Sushil Yadav.TNN
