Rajkot: A total of 2,784 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and 1,200 cans of beer worth Rs 11 lakh were seized from a truck at Wondh village of Bhachau taluka in Kutch district on Saturday night. Police arrested Aslaram Gorasia (24), the cleaner, in this connection, while driver, Mohanaram Gorasia, fled from the spot.

“During his interrogation, Aslaram told police that the liquor consignment had been loaded in Barmer of Rajasthan and was meant to be transported to Gandhidham. He informed that he did not know names of the supplier and the bootlegger who was supposed to take the delivery of the consignment. He said Mohanram had all the necessary details,” said B S Suthar, inspector with Bhachau police station.
