Burglars target mobile store, flee with Rs 1.5L items

Ludhiana: Burglars targeted a mobile store near Eastman Chowk in the Kanganwal area and decamped with mobile phones and a LED television set in the early hours on Saturday. Shop owner Satish Kumar claimed that he incurred a loss of Rs 1.5 lakh.
In his complaint, Satish claimed that he had closed the shop at 9.30pm on Friday and when he reached his shop on Saturday morning he found the locks broken. On checking, he found mobile handsets and LED TV stolen.
He said the CCTV cameras installed in the shop captured four miscreants executing the theft.
ASI Balbir Singh, in-charge, Kanganwal police post, said the police had received a complaint and FIR would be lodged soon.
